Summary/Abstract: Pornography is the attempt to resize the classical prostitute’s condition and status with the help of the media and to show it as graphic “art”. It is the obscene beneficiary of mankind’s technological progress and it is the consequence of the “sexual revolution” started in the ‘50’s as a reaction to the overwhelming Puritanism in the Victorian period. It is also the effect of the empirical philosophy, which reduces everything to senses and it is an integrating part of the modern Neo- Vitalism that resurrects the pagan libertinism through Renaissance. The Church warns us that pornography not only affects marital relations, but all aspects in a relation between man and woman, and through pornography, especially the woman is degraded, reduced to a simple sexual object for man. Also, we must not underestimate the visual impact that can harm man’s healthy imagination and can lead to the alteration of feelings, emotions, sensitivities and capacity to love of our fellow people.
