Summary/Abstract: The Nolian concept for poetic word could find its example, better than anywhere else in the Victor Hugo’s viewpoint that used to say in regard to this: “A word is a live being, even stronger that the one who has used it”. Noli, being convinced that he had not achieved many things in his work as a politician with his oratoric abilities, the mission of his lost war, after he left politics, entrusted to poetry believing that the word of poetical creations would overstep his engagement. Therefore, he was considered as being rude in words and for that reason the language of his poetry sounds harsh, because that was its mission entrusted by him – to win the lost war. Another aspect of poetical peculiarities of Noli has to do with biblical and mythical aspects included into his poetry. The structure of Nolian symbols could be decoded and interpreted only by this measure, the Bible. Among figures of thought, antithesis is also one of identifying components of this composition. Noli has created antitheses among the best in the whole Albanian poetry. Noli’s poetry is distinguished for its sounding values, and especially for repetitive figures. “As for my poetry, I have not been worried so much about them. They are not that valuable. As a rule I published them in newspapers and forgot them at all.” – said once Noli about his poetry. Nevertheless, it is proven that he remained one of our poets who marked the time when he created those few poems, and this achievement is in regard to the way he wrote the poetry that for many things was especial. This review about poetical style of Noli could be concluded very well with the statement of the one who was taking care of his poetry much more than the author himself. The editor, Mitrush Kuteli who collected worldwide dispersed Noli’s poems in periodicals of that time in order to publish them later in the book “Mall e brengë=Longing and sorrow” (1943) made this generalised statement: “Fan S. Noli brought in Albanian literature an individual style of his own, an energetic vibration, a violent verb with strong metaphoric expressions, rolling one after the other”.
