Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the TNC’s role in global R&D. The conducted analysis considers TNC’s largest R&D expenditures and the motives for establishing foreign R&D units by Transnational Corporations. The author also concentrates on the process of knowledge transfer generated by TNC with respect to the international licenses trade and the technology diffusion by FDI.
