Summary/Abstract: Using benchmarking method firms from the field of catering food were analyzed - military restaurants, "Dedinje" vojna ustanova doo, "Odrzavanje i usluge" doo - Novi Sad, "Odrzavanje i usluge" doo - Novi Sad and Nis Student Center. By the analysis of the elements included in the price of the daily ration of food was found that the student center Nis is a market leader in catering business. Comparison with the market leader, militarily restaurants may look way to reduce existing costs, which may help them to become new market leaders in catering food.
