Summary/Abstract: One of the leading environmentalists of the day, Prince Charles the Prince of Wales has exposed himself to the verdict of the public with his enterprising ideas on sustainable development and the future of our environment. His personal approach to urban planning has brought him as much praise as contempt. Prince Charles’s genuine interest in natural environment equally matched by his interest in built environment may prove that globalisation can also be approached from bottom to top.
