Summary/Abstract: The article raises the problem of the psychological contract in the organization understood as non-formal area covering mutual obligations and expectations between employer and employee, pointing to the changes in its essence. The theoretical part is based on explaining the genesis of the concept of psychological contract and brings psychological types of contracts that may occur in the organization (relational, transactional). Reflections on the psychological contract focus on the directions of transformations, informal relationships, mutual obligations and expectations relating to various aspects of the work and organizational operation between the employee and employer. This article presents the results of the perception of psychological contract in terms of mutual recognition of interests of workers and employers, conducted in enterprises operating on the Polish market with various forms and types of property. This article aims to show the relationship between the type of organization functioning in the psychological contract and the features of this organization and its employees. The presented results are an attempt to infer a conclusion about the prevalence of different types of psychological contracts and the importance they play for the effective functioning of the organization and its employees.
