Summary/Abstract: This article intends to present a quantitative analysis of the second round of the presidential elections in 2009. Besides the statistical information provided by BEC for the second round, we also took into account information related to the results of local elections in 2008. The main objective is to identify, through statistic methods, a possible correlation between the prevalent votes flow for a given candidate, as well as variables such as: the political affiliation of the local mayor, the special sections votes, canceled votes, the residence environment, the size of the locality etc.
