Entrepreneurship development of population of Lubicz Commune in the light of integration with the European Union

Summary/Abstract: Poland became a rightful member of the European Union on 1 May 2004. The development of enterprises, in particular the smaller ones, became a priority. As a result favorable terms were created for establishing new companies. The development of rural areas which is characterized by high unemployment was also important as owing to special programs it helped improve the economic situation of residents of these areas. The study was conducted in August and September 2012 with the participation of 83 entrepreneurs from Lubicz borough in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. Materials obtained in 2012 from the commune office of Lubicz were also analysed. They let determine the increase of the number of companies on the studied area.
