GJERGJ FISHTA FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE ALBANIAN LITERARY SCIENCE

Summary/Abstract: In this study which has been divided in three parts, each one belongs respectively to three periods of historical-literary development of the Albanian nation. The first period reflects the beginning of the XX century (which is the mark for the birth of Gj. Fishta’s literary work), followed by the second period of the mid 1940’s, time during which Albania was under the totalitarian communist regime (1945-1990), leading to the third period which is characterized by the establishment of democracy in Albania beginning in the 1990’s. Enver Muhametaj has targeted to present to us how the literary work of this multidimensional personality of the Albanian literature has been received and valued form the Albanian Literary Science during the previously mentioned periods. On the first part of the study, published in this issue of the magazine, the author by basing his opinion mainly on the knowledge of studies and articles published on two well known works such as in 1941 and in 1943 (published in Shkendija magazine) tries to present the personal impressions and views of well known Albanian critics and scientists of the first period, by studying the most essential parts of the work and the literary talent of Gj. Fishta such as: the illuminating and the argument of the values and the artistic originality as well as the authenticity of the brilliant work “ Lahuta e Malcis” seen rightfully so as the national epos of Albanians; the analysis and the rating of the lyric profile of his powerful talent; the placement of of satire and humor in Fishta’s literary work, the valuing of the contribution of Gj. Fishta in national drama, the dismantlement of the deep connection between the literary work of the great writer with the creativity of the people, the discovering and the presentation of beauty, richness and unique artistic expression of the language in his work; the pronounced discovering of writer’s style. The studies and articles of this period also have been studied and classified from the point of their style and diversity. Based on this analysis, the author reaches the argument conclusion that the researchers of the literary work of Gj. Fishta, with the help of their own original knowledge based on their studies, achieved a general, clear and full idea for the place of the writer in the movement of literary times, for his multidimensional contribution in the development and the enrichment of Albanian literature in general and of the expressive possibilities especially , deserving fully of the highest honor given to a poet during his life - National Poet of the Albanians.
