Features of Imagination and Fiction in Understanding

Summary/Abstract: The study highlights the esthetical approach of philosophical thinking. The aestheticization, the philosophical esthetics, the imagination and the fi ction play a key role in the process of cognition. It seems a methodological impossibility to capture the entirely experienced range of values, nevertheless those functions occupied by fiction and creation of shapes in literary texts and in arts, are the ones allowing to capture the specificity of reality. The hermeneutical and esthetical views of Mikhail Bakhtin and Wolfgang Iser are giving insight to the role of shapes an fiction in the process of cognition.
