Summary/Abstract: There were several sources of the ideology of Zionist revisionism. The movement’s main thinker was its founder Vladimir Jabotinsky. However, the doctrine he formulated drew inspiration from intellectual currents as diverse as Zionism (particularly Theodor Herzl and Max Nordau) or the European Romantic tradition. These inspirations were reflected in the shape of the movement’s political thought and its practical actions.
