Summary/Abstract: The article discusses a theme that has always seemed of great interest and has been discussed by many other researchers in Romania and abroad, namely the first documents about the Romanian people, the name by which it was called and possibly the mention of its Roman origin. The article focuses on similarities between Romanian and Italian constructions, Latin influences and concludes by pointing out to s specific and rare trait of the Romanian language morphology.
