Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence of academic entrepreneurship and its influence on the innovation of companies. There is stressed the necessity to continue the research on the phenomenon and its further development. The research conducted by the author shows that it is important to further stimulate and facilitate cooperation at universities, in research centres, as well as among entrepreneurs. It is also important to indicate the benefits that they can achieve working together and to show the areas of cooperation.
