Summary/Abstract: The presented article is devoted to Polish-Ukrainian informal contacts in the 1980’s. It covers relations between the Polish political opposition and the Ukrainian dissenters’ movement, with the focus of attention primarily kept upon the year 1989, when Poland started transformation of its political system while Soviet Ukraine established the National Movement for Perestroika (Rebuilding).
