Parents’ attitudes and students’ music achievements

Summary/Abstract: The author discusses positive and negative attitudes of parents towards children mainly on the basis of the typology by Maria Ziemska. She emphasizes the importance of the role the attitude, both an emotional and behavioural one, to child education and development plays. In conclusion, the author presents the results of her study conducted in a music school. We learn that parents’ attitudes have an unquestionable influence on students’ music achievements.
