Summary/Abstract: The appearance of entrepreneurs over the past twenty years in the developing world is closely connected to the democratization of society, and specifically to equal male and female rights, primarily the right to education, but also in politics, science and education (which is primarily related to the role of the mother), although it is equally taking place again in the field of minority entrepreneurship. In the sixties, hardly 5% of women were among those who have a master's degree, but today the situation is slightly better and this percentage is between 40% and 50% of students of specialized postgraduate studies. According to some statistics, it is considered that women in European countries run or have started every fourth new business, also the same statistics show that women perform 2 / 3 jobs in the world, but when compared to world economy, their income is only 1 / 10. This paper deals with the following themes: entrepreneurial climate and its characteristics, entrepreneurship and family, then differences between men and women as an entrepreneurs, obstacles and challenges of women's entrepreneurship, characteristics of entrepreneurs.
