School in Transition

Summary/Abstract: The problems the author brings into discussion here are those of an educational system in transition: the school book market and the famous "alternative" textbooks' debate, primary school teachers who despite their particular importance in the education of children have to face a different social status from the secondary school teachers. The curricula's lack of practice with all the bad consequences it has on the activity of future primary teachers and of the whole educational system are also presented in the article.
