Summary/Abstract: This is a report on the international history conference, ‘The German-speaking Population of Czechoslovakia after 1945: The State of Research, Sources, Methods, Prospects’, held at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno, from 12 to 14 November 2008. The conference was organized by the History Institute of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University, together with the Centre for the History of Central Europe at the same institution, as well as the Brno branch of the Institute of Contemporary History at the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Matice moravska, and the Social Sciences Institute at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Košice.
