Summary/Abstract: There were inter-war playwrights who wrote in the spirit of Communist Party ideology, contributing to the development of progressive literature. Themes and motives of socialist realist drama are not different from those of poetry and prose. Dramatic writers have followed the directives of the party and have presented the new life in all fields to which new people were taking part, those engaged in the process of socialist construction. One of the interwar representative playwrights who wrote for the socialist realist literature is Tudor Mușatescu. If Mușatescu is not but a dedicated, he is trying to become a convert, as he is addressing in his dramatic works, written after 1948, socialist-realist ideology subordinated themes. To enroll in the patterns of that time and to be published, he followed the directions of the critics, theorists and ideologists subordinated to the socialist power.
