Summary/Abstract: The volume of Gheorghe Petruşan "Iosif Vulcan and the Magazine Family" published in Szeged in 1992 by the Union of Romanians in Hungary, is structured in such: INTRODUCTION, MOMENTS IN THE LIFE AND ACTIVITY OF IOSIF VULCAN, THE PROGRAM AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE FAMILY, FAMILY LITERATURE, NOTES, COMMENTS, CONCLUSIONS, BIBLIOGRAPHY. It is accompanied by summaries in Hungarian, English and French. The author demonstrates documented that Iosif Vulcan and the magazine FAMILY, supported the Romanian intelligentsia of the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century for the affirmation of the culture of national ideals.
