Summary/Abstract: During the 2002 archaeological investigations in the Early Iron Age settlement at Platonesti–Valea Babii, an inhumation tomb was discovered, with a skeleton in extended burial on the back, aligned W–E. Next to it there was a knife, an iron lance tip and a bronze arrow tip. According to its characteristics and funerary inventory, we can date the tomb from the second half of the 5th century B.C. up to the 4th century B.C. and link it to the last Scythian wave defeated by Philip II in 339 B.C.
