Summary/Abstract: The archeological researches from Tucea offered the possibility to establish some chronological steps for the living town’s territory. The results of the archeological researches from Tulcea are completed with documentary testimonies. An important value for knowing the local history is the Turkish documents and the foreign travelers’ relates. Based on Turkish documents, the oldest certification comes down to 1506, where Tulcea city appears.
