Summary/Abstract: The article reports the issuing of the first of a 3 volumes scheduled book gathering a long exchange of letters which covered a 56 years period, between two outstanding scholars Alexandru Rosetti and Alf Lombard. Published with the shared efforts of a Swedish-Romanian team, this volume offers the reader a hint over some of the aspects of Romanian and Swedish life and society covering three decades. In the same time this is a story of a two destinies' fulfillment in two different countries with different mentalities and social political system.
