The phenomenon of genologic reductionism in contemporary magazines for women

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the phenomenon of genologic reductionism and its influence on modifying the genre conventions in contemporary magazines for women. The analysis includes selected genres and varieties of genres that occur in the magazine „Dobre Rady”. The author presents particular forms of expression, such as collages, iconographies and other collections of genres’ forms that have arisen as a result of genologic reductionism. There are also displayed/showed alternation and adaptation patterns of the press guidance that may be recognized as the most representative for this particular kind of press magazines. The researches are included in genologic linguistics that is oriented on media studies. In her deliberations, the author derives from methodologica inspirations of Maria Wojtak, using the conceptual instrumentarium and analytical techniqes elaborated by the scholar.
