Summary/Abstract: The movement of Polish immigrants for commercial purposes to Denmark lasted 36 years and ran in the years 1893-1929, which marked the first and last group of organized and registered Polish immigrants in this country. The migration involved mostly girls and young women from Galicia, employed at the Danish sugar beet plantations, where they were coming every year, often to the same place.
