Summary/Abstract: The author describes the biography of Władysław Wnuk, an outstanding activist of the Finnish Polonia. As a long-term member of the Polish Union in Helsingfors (Finland) and later its president, Wnuk became a leading representative of the Polish diaspora in the Scandinavia. Wnuk regarded as his chief goal to cultivate national traditions, remember Polish history and culture and maintain bonds between Polish immigrants in Finland and the country, whatever its political system would be.
