Summary/Abstract: Expression of critical thinking on the healthy life-mode of primary class schoolchildren is analysed and discussed. Schoolchildren of the 3rd and 4th classes of several schools of Vilnius were involved in this investigation. In total 262 schoolchildren (130 (49,6%) students of the 3rd class and 132 (50,4%) students of the 4th class; 133 (50,8%) males and 129 (49,2%) females) were interrogated. The results of the study show that pupils restore, analyse, synthesize and use information in practice more efficiently when methods of critical thinking are applied in the teaching process. Pupils can better evaluate information when they are taught to think critically. The analysis showed that pupils are concerned about values. Critical thinking helps not only to develop thinking skills of pupils and encourage their healthy life, but also foster moral values that helps to bring up a fully developed personality.
