Summary/Abstract: The role of text can be best understood by reference to the functions and features of speech. The difference between modern and postmodern reflects a characteristic of the interpretation. It goes from binary to tertiary knowledge. The text is a legitimate index which may define a historical period, an era, and a moment of the society. However, speech is an elementary process through which text fundaments its own existence. Real meaning: overcoming simple human relations through extensive networking, nothing more.
