Summary/Abstract: The knowledge and preserving of the sacred geography is of special interest to the methods of teaching Orthodox regional studies at a parish church school. The theory of teaching Orthodox regional studies as a methodical system states different levels of natural relationships. One of these levels is related to the purposes, structure and contents of the school curriculum. In the systematization of the school syllabus a special accent is put on the study of the sacred areas in the eparchy, region or native land. It is necessary to emphasize that the system of teaching Orthodox regional studies is also oriented to practical field work (done on the certain terrain). This practice is realized by an Orthodox-ethnographic students’ expedition carried out in a certain spiritual district or parish where the students take notes and collect data about the sacred places and afterwards they make a map. The results from the theoretical and practical training unify the theory- practice relationship in the orthodox ethnographic educative work in order to preserve the sacred geography at the Orthodox Parish Church School.
