New background of the periodization of the Sacred geography of Chepino region

Summary/Abstract: In this article some specific characteristics of distinct periods in the history of the sacred sites around Velingrad, Chepino valley have been analyzed. The reflections on the dynamics in their “living” continue with the changes in the last decade. Several important markers are outlined, which built by the orthodox community in the region and which denote the sacred places and sacred area of Chepino valley.
