The Way of an Exhibition

Summary/Abstract: The object of deliberations is the Aromanians in Bulgaria ethnographic exhibi¬tion. Several aspects have been sought in following its way from Velingrad, via Plovdiv, Sofia, Pazardjik to Blagoevgrad and toVelingrad again. On the one hand, this has been the reaction of the community, presented in it – the Aromanians, who contributed to its creation and experiencing in this way. On the other hand are the specialists: colleagues – museum curators, museologists, ethnologists, historians, and folklorists, whose interests directly justify their reaction. On the third hand, though just hinted, stands the non-specialist, the mass consumer of the creation and the event referred to as “an exhibition”, whether a Bulgarian or a foreigner. At the same time, at each one of its “stops” along its one-year-long way, the exhibition has its own specific appearance and accents – an aspect, taking a place in our deliberations because of the prospect of establishment of a museum of the Aromanians.
