Summary/Abstract: The memoirs made by bishop Inochentie Micu and the representatives of the political nations in the context of the diet from 1744 used a significant historical argumentation, which added to the two Union Acts of Emperor Leopold the main Acts of Privileges granted to the Romanian clergy by the Transylvanian princes in the 17th century. The text we are publishing in the annex of the present study represents such a memorial, made by a spokesman of the political nations on February 10, 1744. It reflects the attitude of their representatives towards the integration of the Greek-catholic confession into the constitutional system of Transylvania. The resemblance of the model of the Union of the Romanian Church with the Church of Rome to the previous one of its Union with the reformed Church signifies the will of the political nations to preserve the confessional status quo, which was threatened in their vision by de Courts interventions in favour of the catholic and Greek-catholic confessions.
