Summary/Abstract: Blaj area was, due to his bishop, the highest political force of the united Romanians, and on the other hand, due to his schools and cultural institutions, it was a source of culture and national civilisation, where, was going to be shaped the spirit of the new generations. The life programme of the bishop Ioan Vancea synthesized in few lines, was as it follous: “the Church and the school are the cradle of the faith, of the nationalisation and of the people’s lighting”. The school had to be both a moral support or message, and a spiritual one too. This was to became the important start for the consolidation of the national edifices. This was the faith and the ideal of Vancea, who transformed the seminar of the greek-catholic youth into the most pleasant creation for of his own heart.
