Summary/Abstract: Trafficking in human beings is a global “business”, organized in criminal networks and criminal clandestine groups also involved in other types of organized crime. The structures vary from groups to individuals. The capacity to respond to the issues related to trafficking in human beings must fit the main coordinates of the legal framework which allows state institutions to adjust the resources and the way of response to threats to society and individuals as well as the reaction of civil society to this phenomenon.
