Social responsibility of organisations from different sectors

Summary/Abstract: The International Standard ISO 26000 Guidance on social responsibility uses the term of social responsibility instead of corporate social responsibility. It suggests that social responsibility can be applied also to organisations from other sectors. There is a large literature on Corporate Social Responsibility – research and theories can be studied and explored. The question arises what social responsibility really means for organisations from public or non-governmental sectors and how it impacts their everyday activities. In the paper chosen issues of social responsibility of organisations from different sectors are discussed. It leads to some generalizations based on already existing CSR models.
