Summary/Abstract: This is a translation the chapter 16, 17 and 18 of a book: N. Hartmann, Das Problem des geistigen Seins. Untersuchungen zur Grundlegung der Geschichtsphilosophie und der Geisteswissenschaften, Berlin und Leipzig 1933, s. 151–176 /the translation from German into Polish Artur Mordka/ In 2007 passed the bicentenary of publishing Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit. This work was taken by Hartmann for the first, in which the objective spirit not only was named so but also it got the comprehensive study. Hartmann called Hegel „the discoverer” of spirit and emphasized that in spite of a speculative metaphysics, Hegel did see the phenomenon of objective spirit. „Hegel’s system had been destructed but the state which was seen – remained. The translation aimed at approaching Hartmann’s ontology of spirit and presenting the critical view on Hegel’s philosophy. Hartmann formulated 12 arguments against Hegel. It is not only a pure historical analysis but rather the problematical one.
