Summary/Abstract: The way the Great Powers dwelled on the Albanian case concerning the Peace Treaty with Italy symbolizes the new world order, that began to shape by the decisions taken during the conferences of the post-World War the Second. The division of the winner states in two different camps, ideologically, later politically and militarily, was noticed in the separate stances of the allies toward Albania. On the one hand, there was the continuous opposition of the anglo-american representatives, inspired by the anti-albanian greek lobby, the shuttle diplomacy of France, and, on the other hand, the strong support of the soviet delegation, the yugoslav one, and those of the Central and Eastern European countries. These positions characterized all the discussions, held in the Peace Conference in Paris (1946), regarding the multidimensional problems between Albania and Italy, such as: the civil rights (the case of war criminals), the political rights (the independence, the territorial integrity, the international recognition etc.), the economic rights (the reparations, the restitutions and the case of the Albanian gold). However, the Peace Treaty with Italy was signed on 10 February 1947, as “an ally state”, and it guaranteed the recognition of the Albanian people’s contribution, beside the Anti-fascist Coalition, during the Second World War.
