Summary/Abstract: In this work, based on ethnonymy, taken from the sources of the whole written period of Slavonic languages, we analyse the problem of formant changing in ethnonymic evolution and show basic tendencies in wordformation of Slavonic ethnonyms. The evolution of ethnonymic paradigm is also shown, in particular the relationship between choronym and ethnonym, between the derivatives of masculine and feminine gender. In this analysis we suggest the idea of Ethnonymic Dictionary.
