Summary/Abstract: The study intends to analyze some aspects of the legionary ideology, such as the reference to the political-ideological structure of the 1848 Revolution, the nature of communism and capitalism, as well as the religious factor. The 1848 revolution was a negative referential for the legionary ideology, owing to the insertion of numerous landmarks and values of modernity. Communism remained a point of attack, a target of criticism for the legionary ideology, because of its assimilation with Jewishness. There cannot be omitted some positions in the social practice, where the two political extremes came into contact. Orthodox religiosity was another important sphere of the legionary ideology. In a country of an Orthodox majority, such an attitude led to the increase of the adhesion to the Legion. The manner of taking over the Orthodoxy remains fundamentally a political one.
