Summary/Abstract: This paper is concerned with the folkloristic studies published in Slovak Ethnology in the years 2003 – 2012. It traces their themes and proportionate share within the overall context of the journal. The coverage given to the modern study of communication and folklore genres turns out to be impressive. The meritorious level of folkloristic studies corresponds to the advertised rubric, and jointly they create an image of the level of Slovak folkloristics and the systematic work of the journal’s editorial collective.
