Summary/Abstract: “with regard to his method a structuralist, to his bases an impressionist” The present writing is a review on the1999 volume of critical writings by Gergely Angyalosi, critic, literary historian, focusing on his criticism on Derrida, and paralleling the author with Ignotus, the great Hungarian critic of the first half of the twentieth century, the editor-in-chief of the journal Nyugat, analysing the book along the notions of pluralism of values and impressionism.
