Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to analyse the unique event in the history of Romania, as it was perceived in the Romanian press of 1925 by journalists, some of whom managed to faithfully reproduce the moment of the establishment of the Romanian Patriarchate. This solemn event in the history of the Romanian Orthodox Church, of its elevation to the rank of Patriarchate, cannot be fully understood if the press of those years is not fully consulted. I focused specifically on the way in which both the central press, in Bucharest, and the local press, from other cities of the country, took over the news regarding the establishment of the Romanian Patriarchate, managing to identify, with the exception of the theological journal Biserica Ortodoxă Română, a number of 31 texts published in 1925. Their number is much higher, but I only focused on a few more important newspapers such as Adevěrul (București), Cuvântul poporului (Sibiu), Dimineaţa (București), Glasul Bucovinei (Cernăuți), Mișcarea (Iași), Neamul Românesc (București), Patria (Cluj), Renașterea (Craiova), Universul (București) etc.
