Summary/Abstract: This review discusses the monograph "Discourses of Cultural Heritage in Vojvodina" by Jelena Ćuković, which systematically examines the concept of intangible cultural heritage within the domestic scientific context. The book explores the intersections of ideology, bureaucracy, and identity practices, analyzing the bureaucratic discourses of international institutions like UNESCO, state cultural policies, and the scientific perspectives of ethnology and anthropology. Through a structured approach, the author contrasts institutional frameworks with the lived experiences and narratives of local heritage bearers, particularly minority communities in Vojvodina, shedding light on the complexities of heritage preservation and the role of anthropology in contemporary society.
