Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this study is to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-based intervention programs in treating significant psychopathological conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, anxiety, and depression in individuals who have experienced peer bullying during adolescence. In the research process, 10 randomized controlled trials published in Google Scholar and PubMed databases between 2007 and 2022, fully complying with PRISMA guidelines, were subjected to a systematic review method. The findings examined showed that CBT intervention programs statistically significantly reduced anxiety, depression, and especially complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in adolescent victims of bullying compared to the control group. The studies investigated demonstrated that cognitive restructuring and exposure techniques increased children's self-esteem and improved their emotional regulation skills by altering dysfunctional negative cognitive schemas they had developed. Structured school-based programs such as KiVa and Resilience Triple-P were found not only to support the individual recovery of victims but also to positively transform the school atmosphere by breaking the bullying cycle. Furthermore, studies on social anxiety have shown that CBT is effective in reducing social avoidance behaviors and strengthening coping skills that increase self-confidence in peer interactions. With the digital age, it has been reported that internet-based CBT applications provide sustainable and accessible positive outcomes for symptoms of trauma caused by cyberbullying, similar to traditional face-to-face therapies. Detailed studies have shown that when CBT is combined with pharmacological treatment, symptom management is faster and relapse rates are reduced. In conclusion, CBT has been shown to be the most powerful clinically proven method in repairing psychological damage caused by peer bullying, preventing the continuation of victimization, and improving the overall quality of life of adolescents. In this context, it is recommended that customized CBT protocols for bullying victims be widely implemented in school guidance services and clinical settings, and that these interventions be standardized as a treatment plan supported by long-term follow-up studies.
