Summary/Abstract: The aim of this systematic review is to investigate the effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in individuals diagnosed with somatoform disorders. This study was conducted using a systematic review method, and no primary data collection was carried out. Within the scope of this study, English-language sources published between 2006 and 2025 in the PubMed and Google Scholar databases were examined. The studies identified through the specified keywords were reviewed according to predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. As a result of the screening process, a total of 10 studies were included in the evaluation. The findings indicate that CBT is effective in reducing physical symptoms associated with somatoform disorders, decreasing health anxiety, and improving individuals’ functional abilities. In most of the reviewed studies, more significant improvements were observed in groups receiving CBT compared to control groups. However, some studies suggest that the effectiveness of the treatment may vary depending on the duration and method of the intervention. In addition, some research indicates that CBT may produce stronger outcomes when combined with other treatment approaches. Overall, CBT appears to be an effective and applicable psychotherapy method in the treatment of somatoform disorders. However, there is a need for studies with larger sample sizes, long-term follow-up, and more diverse methodological approaches. Future research is expected to contribute to the field, and increasing the use of CBT in clinical practice may be beneficial.
