Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). A literature search was conducted using Google Scholar and PubMed databases, identifying 312 studies. After removing duplicates, 264 studies were screened based on titles and abstracts. Following full-text assessment of 53 articles, 15 studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the review. Most of the included studies were randomized controlled trials conducted across different countries. Overall findings suggest that ERP is an effective and consistent intervention for reducing obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Additionally, combining ERP with pharmacological treatment appears to enhance outcomes, and treatment gains are often maintained over time. Recent evidence also supports the effectiveness of alternative delivery formats such as internet-based and telehealth interventions. However, variability in individual treatment response and certain methodological limitations should be considered. In conclusion, ERP can be regarded as a robust and flexible therapeutic approach for OCD
