Summary/Abstract: The article examines (l)iterary dromoscopic performances inspired by American counterculture, which can be understood as a commentary on the condition of the “proteinbased” writer in the age of digital machines. In what ways do the products of human–machine assemblages bring together two extreme conceptions of literature: the manic and the technical (mechanical)? Can the hallucinations of artificial intelligence be considered an equivalent of human inspiration?
