Summary/Abstract: This article reviews the published scientific literature on the available quantitative instruments designed to measure resilience in adolescents and presents a comparative analysis of these tools. A literature search was conducted in Scopus, Science Direct and Google Scholar using the keywords “resilience” and “adolescence” in combination with “measurement”, “scale”, or questionnaire”. Articles and studies published within the last 20 years that focused specifically on measuring adolescent resilience and current validation of questionnaires for such measurement were included. As a result, ten questionnaires were compared according to their theoretical foundations, psychometric properties, scope and domains, accessibility and practical applicability. The findings indicate that a diverse range of instruments for measuring resilience in adolescents exist internationally. These tools differ in their conceptualization of resilience and in their characteristics. Some of them were created for cross-cultural use and are available online.
