Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the pedagogical portfolio as a tool for learning, reflection, and authentic assessment in school practice. It explores the interrelation between portfolios, formative assessment, and action research in teaching. Special attention is given to rubrics as mechanisms that ensure transparency of criteria and foster learner agency. Feedback is analyzed as a central factor in supporting student progress and self-regulation. Rather than a mere collection of artifacts, the portfolio is conceptualized as a structured process that promotes self-reflection, planning, and metacognitive development. The study argues that effective implementation requires clearly defined objectives, transparent assessment criteria, and coherent instructional design.
