Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article present an educational-upbringing-social programme entitled COOLektura, implemented in 2020-2021 and directed at youth at risk of social maladjustment. The programme was based mainly on the local action-project method in the Praga-Południe district of Warsaw, as well as on drama, the method of personal influence, and mentoring. The main aims of the programme were: a creative, contemporary interpretation of a set text immortalised in the form of a short film; students' improvement of collaboration skills and a sense of shared responsibility, and of overcoming their own limitations; and forming habits of systematicity and planning of actions. Specific aims included: learning the skill of writing a film script, using students' hidden talents and potential, discovering and strengthening students' strengths, forming a sense of agency and independence, and learning through play. Twenty-three seventh-grade pupils from Primary School No. 141 in Warsaw took part in the programme. As part of the programme, pupils received workshop support led by specialists in cooperation with the Local Activity Centre. The resulting film material is now material for analysis both in Polish-language lessons and in classes with the form tutor. Thanks to this programme, pupils not only learned the practical realisation of film-making, but also showed what they encounter and experience both at school and outside it. The films made by the pupils are an uncensored record of teenagers' observations on 21st-century society and the problems and threats they encounter today.
